Daniel Burnap papers, 1786-1855.

A collection of receipts, business papers, and correspondence of Daniel Burnap. Born in Andover, Burnap moved to East Windsor in 1780 and started his own clock making business. Many of the receipts pertain to taxes. Among the correspondence are an indenture, letters from several nephews, a piece stating Burnap's teaching assignments in 1777 and 1778, a copy of a memorial to Abraham and Irene Burnap, and a piece stating Burnap married Deliverance Kingsbury on June 6, 1782. An account of the debts of one nephew, Ela Burnap, is included.
